DIY face masks for dry skin

Today I am writing the last article for face masks in this series, I have already uploaded two articles on DIY face masks using turmeric, face masks for summertime and this one is the last one focusing on masks for dry skins. If you want more such upload do let me know in the comments section and I'll do it for you. Let’s begin,
Green Tea + Rice Flour + Vitamin E Oil

  •   Recipe: Make your regular green tea and take ½ a cup of green tea and add rice flour to it add one tablet of Evion vitamin E oil and mix well
  •   Direction and use: On a clean face apply this mixture and keep it for a good 30 mins and then rinse off with warm water. Green tea has a powerful anti-oxidant called ECGC that fights DNA damage and in turn preventing from skin cancer. Green tea is also a potent ingredient for anti-ageing. I cannot really stop talking about the number of benefits we get from green tea.
Rice flour is something that helps our skin to be lustrous and taut, Rice flour is also a great for exfoliating. Because this mask lacked oil base ingredients and all of you guys know by now that oil is essential for healthy skin and hair, we have got to include vitamin E oil. Vitamin E helps protect skin from the damage happening from the free radicals.

Pomegranate juice + curd + rice flour

  • Recipe: Whisk some Curd and Pomegranate juice together and add rice flour mix it well. Eye ball the quantity to a ratio of 3:1:2, 3 parts of Pomegranate juice, a part of curd and 1.5 to 2 parts of rice flour. It will make a thick paste.
  • Direction and use: Apply the thick paste on your face and keep it for 20-25 mins and rinse off using warm water. Pomegranates are incredible source of antioxidants, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing properties, it has ability to bring radiance back into the skin. Pomegranates are used in a lot of skin care and sun care products.
Curd is filled with good bacteria that helps penetrate within and gives glow by nourishing your skin, curd is made from milk and it has proteins, Calcium, and vitamin D which helps to improve the complexion and aid acne. Rice Flour will also give your skin Radiance. This mask helps all skin types but mostly dry skin will be benefited better because it’ll help you get radiant skin that glows and feels healthy.

Papaya + Honey

  •  Recipe: Mash one slice of an overly ripe papaya in a blender, add 2-3 spoons of Honey and mix well.
  • Direction and use: This mask is typically for my dry skinned friends out there, you can wash and wipe your face and start applying the mixture on to your face. This mask would be patchy because of the consistency that fruit will give you. But manage to keep this mask for good 25 mins and then rinse off.

Papaya is the best source for skin whitening, this does not mean you’ll become fair, it means that any dark patches or spots will be light along with keeping the moisture of your skin intact. Papaya leaves your skin looking glowy and lightened. About honey, you know it’s anti- bacterial and the moisture that it provides is something your skin is thirsty for.

Potato Juice + Baking Soda + Honey

  •  Recipe: Grate one whole potato, put it in a thin cotton napkin and squeeze out the juice, add baking soda and honey to make it a paste.
  • Direction and use: Put the paste all over your face evenly, keep it for 15 mins and wash off. The potato juice contains starch which helps in skin lightning and also tightening the skin.
Baking soda is so good for your skin as it is best used on pigmentation and scars, it will also help your dead skin to wear off. Honey is for your overall moisture check during this whole masking situation.

Tomato Puree + Potato Juice + Fresh Cream

Recipe: Cut one tomato in half and remove the seeds and grind the tomato to for a soft paste. Grate half a potato and squeeze to remove the juice from it. Whip a 2-3 table spoons of fresh cream and add the paste and the juice in it and mix well.
Direction and Use: Apply the mixture on a clean face and let it sit for about 25 mins and then rinse off using room temperature water.
Tomato is really useful for enlarged pores and helps them to minimise and helps in glowing skin, fresh cream will ensure that the mask is moisturising and not drying as both other ingredients are water base. Potato juice is an excellent skin whitening agent and will help you remove any unequal skin tone. This is a great mask for all my dry skinned girls.
