DIY Face Masks Using Turmeric

I'm totally amazed by the amount of skin benefits a small piece of turmeric gives, hence writing a whole article on the face masks that can benefit all kinds of skin types. I suggest you do the masking before your good night's sleep so the skin gets the time to heal and condition itself and in the morning you will notice plump and glowy skin. So please keep reading.

1.      Hung Curd + Turmeric + Rose Water

1.1.   Recipe: Take 2-3 teaspoons of hung curd, add 1 teaspoon of Turmeric and 5-7 drops of rose water. Mix it all together to form a thick paste.
1.2.   Directions and use: Wash Your face thoroughly and wipe it dry. Apply the above paste with a Brush or spatula, let it sit for 20-25 mins, if it is partially dry, take a wet sponge and wipe it clean.
Your skin will feel tingling sensation, because of the turmeric. As it has anti-oxidant and anti-septic properties, turmeric prevents the formation of bacterial acne and purifies the skin.
Hung curd is highly moisturising and contains lactic acid which helps retain moisture and stimulates collagen renewal, which helps in anti-ageing and fading the fine-lines or wrinkles.
After you remove the mask, do not go over with a face wash or any soap, wait for around 5-6 hours before washing with any soap or foaming wash. You can do this at night, before sleeping and wash your face with a foaming wash in the morning
Do this twice a week, results will be seen in a month.

2.      Gram Flour + Fresh Cream + Turmeric

2.1.   Recipe: Take 2 teaspoon of fresh cream and beat it to remove the lumps, add 3-4 teaspoons of gram four and a pinch of turmeric. Mix it well to form a batter like consistency.
2.2.   Direction and use: Gently splash water on your face, pat dry your face and start applying the batter that you mixed and let the mask air dry for 30 mins. You can organise your sock drawer or read a book and use the space of the time allotted to you by this mask and relax.
Gram flour has skin whitening properties, it is also used to remove fine hair from the face, it is one of the best exfoliant and this mask will help you get rid of the skin pigmentation or the dark spots of previous acne.
This mask is totally harmless and over usage will not affect your skin adversely, instead consistency in applying this mask will give you great results without any side effects.
After, you wipe out the mask, go in with a moisturiser and have a good night’s sleep.

3.      Aloe Vera + Turmeric + Evion Tablets (Vitamin E)

3.1.   Recipe: Take 2 full spoons of aloe vera gel you can take the stored one or the natural, if you happen to take the natural, make sure you blend it good enough for the application, add the Vitamin E oil from the Evion Tablets that we get here in any chemist shop and a pinch of turmeric. Mix it nicely

3.2.   Direction and use: the Mixture is going to pasty/creamy, this mask is to be applied mostly for blackheads because Aloe vera will help you get rid of them and aloe vera is the best to keep your skin lifted and tight and younger looking at all times and if you are a late 30’s woman aloe vera will simply slow down your skin from aging.
Vitamin E is the best for improving the discoloration or uneven skin tome and will help you retain the glossy properties of your skin. Your skin will not dry, instead it will make your skin look moist and plump.
Applying this mask over-night will also help, (there are no side effects) although I recommend you to sleep with no mask on, as night is the only time when your skin breathes and feels relaxed, do not apply mask and let them pores suffocate.
